Liberty and Mountain Water respond to PSC concerns about sale

On January 29, 2016, the Montana Public Service Commission held a work session in which it addressed concerns about the purchase of Western Water Holdings stock by Liberty Utilities – a purchase which took place without official PSC approval due to unnecessary and expensive interference by the city of Missoula and its lawyers. Despite acknowledging that it lacks statutory authority to regulate such transactions, the PSC chose to pursue sanctions against Liberty and Mountain Water.
